Certified Instructor BASI Pilates Faculty Heather was born and raised in West Texas and holds a BBA in Business Management from Hardin Simmons University. Before embarking on her Pilates journey, Heather led a decade-long corporate career in business and consulting. Always an avid fitness enthusiast, Heather's discovery of Pilates completely shifted her viewpoint of movement. The Pilates approach to precision, efficiency and intention in functional movement patterns transformed her body and mind in ways that traditional exercise could not. Heather was accredited with a Comprehensive Certification through BASI Pilates and subsequently joined the BASI Pilates Faculty. She has continued her Pilates education through various advanced workshops addressing special populations and the BASI Pilates Legacy Program. Heather currently resides in Fort Worth, where she owns and operates The Pilates Center, a proud BASI Pilates Host Studio since 2011. She has a special passion for mentoring future Pilates instructors and teaching to special populations including athletes, rehabilitation, pre and post natal, dancers, and the elderly population. Heather is especially fulfilled to witness Pilates' ability to reduce pain, enhance athletic performance, and transform the every day functional lives of the studio's clients. She believes Pilates is for EveryBody. |
