BASI Pilates Michelle received a BA from Southern Methodist University in French and Art History. She also holds an AS in Dental Hygiene and has been a practicing Dental Hygienist for 26 years. She has always had an avid interest in the overall well being and physical health of the human body while realizing the importance of the mind - body connection for achieving complete balance. Her love of patient care and rehabilitation sparked her interest in Pilates. After abstaining a substantial neck injury coupled with years of occupational postural imbalance from practicing Dental Hygiene, she found Pilates a her savior !! The combination of strength building ,stretching and overall mental awareness to body mechanics has greatly improved her overall daily functionality as well as providing her with the knowledge and techniques to help prevent future injury. Michelle is currently enrolled in the BASI Comprehensive Teacher Training program and hopes to pursue Advanced Training in Pilates with an emphasis on rehabilitation and gerontology. She eagerly looks forward to combining her current knowledge of overall systemic health with the physical mind connection of Pilates to help her clients achieve their top tier goals and benefits. She is currently trained in Mat as well as all of the Pilates apparatus ,including the Reformer,Cadillac and Chair. She looks forward to starting and sharing in your new journey to health! |
