Carolyn completed her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 2000 from Texas Woman’s University and has spent her career specializing in orthopedics. Carolyn fell in love with Pilates after attending classes while vacationing in the Caribbean and upon returning home she immediately began her Comprehensive Teacher Training through BASI (Body Arts and Science). Carolyn has been using Pilates principles as an adjunct to traditional physical therapy for several years. Now, she is continuing her journey at The Pilates Center as a student teacher completing her training hours. Carolyn is passionate about Pilates as she has seen how the method has helped her patients work through injuries, can be utilized with all age groups and body types, and has personally helped her to recover from a spine injury. When she is not teaching Pilates or working as a physical therapist, she is an avid dog lover, loves to cook and bake and is a lifelong student. She is currently working toward her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Texas Tech University.
